The portable humimeter MS4 salt moisture meter is perfect for different types of salt with fine and coarse structure. The small and handy salt moisture meter is highly mobile and can be used anywhere to measure the salt moisture – quickly, easily and reliably.

Range:
Due to its properties, the device is particularly suitable for measuring the moisture content of road salt and other industrially used types of salt. The measurement process only takes a few seconds, which means that a large number of measurements can be taken in a very short time. The meter can store readings and automatically display the average. This makes it possible to measure a good mean value of large amounts of salt in a short time.

Handling and measuring process

After selecting the characteristic curve for the salt to be measured (coarse or fine-grained), road salt or de-icing salt, the salt moisture meter is pressed onto the salt surface with appropriate pressure. Water content and temperature can be immediately read from the salt moisture meter’s large, illuminated display. By taking several measurements at different points, the average salt moisture can be determined in seconds.

The humimeter MS4 salt moisture meter offers the possibility to store the measurement results for salt moisture by means of an integrated data logger and to subsequently provide these with additional information such as supplier data or measurement location.

The measuring values can be stored on the device, further information like batch number can be added. Via the integrated USB interface, the measuring values can be transferred to a PC, and via LogMemorizer ® PC software the data can be archived, exported, processed or printed out.
